FEATURES - DP-29F

Now's the time to put your vinyl records back into your listening rotation. The DP-29F includes a built-in RIAA phono equalizer to hook it up to your system through a standard analog connection.

The DP-29F has been precision manufactured with rigid diecast aluminum to produce uniform inertial mass for perfectly stable turntable rotation, an essential component of high fidelity sound during playback. The turntable employs an automated system that starts playing the record with the single touch of a button and finishes play at the end of the record by returning the tone arm to its original position and stopping turntable rotation. This system ensures that you do not inadvertently scratch your records when you play them. There is also a manual lifter mechanism that allows you to place the needle on the record wherever you want, so you can skip to a song in the middle of a side.

The DP-29F includes a built-in phono equalizer to connect the unit to an integrated amp that does not have its own equalizer. This turntable is powered by a DC servo motor and belt drive system and operated at the 33 1/3 or 45 rpm speed. It comes with an MM cartridge so that you can begin to enjoy your analog record collection as soon as you connect the DP-29F to your home hi-fi system. Two-year warranty on New and one-year warranty on Refurbished model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for simple setup without consol/tuner I use this with some nice powered computer speakers, I don't have space for a full on stereo consol. The RIAA preamp brings up the signal to line level with proper EQ curve to plug into anything and sound great ( regular phono output cannot do this ). It's fun going through all the crates of old records, great sound, ultra compact setup

Picked this up at a Years sale for my son. Not tech savvy at all. Plug goes in wall, the other one red one white go into what? Speakers?

Asked by: Musicfanaticson
The turntable would need to connect to a stereo or surround sound receiver. The link below will explain how to connect your turntable to an audio system. While reading the FAQ, keep in mind that this turntable does have a built in phono preamp. There's a good chance that if your son already has a stereo system, he can hook this right up to it without a problem. If you need any guidance on this, our customer service agents will be happy to help. Just use the contact info to the right side of the FAQ page to contact support. howv do i disengage the preamp

Asked by: opaul19651
To disengage the preamp, remove the rubber mat and rotate the platter until you see the EQ switch near the top. It will be visible through one of the holes in the platter. Switch the EQ switch to OFF to disengage. Once this is done you will need to connect to a Phono input on your amp, or use an external phono preamp.

Audio output has stopped suddenly in my denon 29f

Asked by: Manasvi
This could be caused by a few things. First, if you're not using a Phono input on your amp, the EQ switch on the turntable should be set to ON. Double check to make sure that's the case, if it applies. You can also test the input on your amp (if it's not a Phono input) by plugging a different device into it, like a CD player. If the CD player works in the same input the turntable was plugged into, and the EQ switch is set to ON, then there may be a problem with the turntable or cartridge. If the CD player doesn't work in that input either, then it may be a bad input. Try plugging the turntable into a different input on your amp. If it seems that the turntable is not outputting any sound even with the EQ switch ON, or you have it connected to a phono input with the EQ switch OFF, then its possible that the stylus needs to be replaced. Please see the link below for the replacement stylus. Thanks! https://denon.encompass.com/item/5260581/Denon/DSN82/Stylus__Not_Available_Yet_Per_Denon_

Can I output to my amp with a RCA path?  I have an older system that only accepts RCA plugs

Asked by: hnett
Hello. The audio output from the DP-29F uses stereo RCA connectors. You should have no problem connecting these to an RCA input on your amp. If the amp has a Phono input, use that input without turning on the EQ switch. If the amp does not have a Phono input, be sure to set the EQ switch to ON. Please see the FAQ at the link below for reference. Thanks! http://denon.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4044/session/L3RpbWUvMTQ5NDg3NTI0OS9zaWQvRkhwdFpFaW4=

Does it have to be connected to a standard analogue input on my amp? So I can't use my phone inputs?

Asked by: Jamie
Hi Jamie. The DP29F has an EQ switch which enables an internal preamp when turned on. If that switch is on, you can connect the turntable to any analog input on your amp EXCEPT for the Phono input. If you turn that switch off, then you will need to connect it to a Phono input. Please see the FAQ link below for a more detailed explanation which you may find helpful. "Is headshell and cartridge detachable & replaceable ?"

Asked by: faiz
They can be removed, but the unit is not designed to use a different headshell and cartridge. If you need to replace the stylus, the model number of the replacement is DSN82. I can see that you're located in India, so our parts distributor won't be able to help. I would suggest getting in touch with your local dealer if you need to order a replacement. Thanks!

Also. I have been searching all he internet. Are off brand replacement stylus ok to use? Or should I wait for the one in above link to be available. These are not easy to find.

Asked by: Camille
Hi Camille, sorry for the delayed response. I've found a few 3rd party replacement stylus online. It's not likely that they would do damage to the player or cartridge, so I don't see the harm in trying one out, but we can only guarantee the DSN-82. Thanks!

My music is muffled and not clear. Haven't played this in a while. Does this mean I need a new stylus or is it connected wrong?
