Hi Andre777. It wouldn’t be recommended to use 3 ohm speakers with the AVR-X1300W, as this receiver has been rated for performance with speakers whose impedance are between 4 and 16 ohms. This is especially true when mixing speaker impedances, because the lower-impedance speaker(s) will draw more current from the unit, which also means more heat will be generated by the receiver’s power amps that are powering the low-impedance speakers. In turn, the more heat that is generated, the greater the chance of the unit entering protection mode, or possibly being damaged as a result.
Otherwise using speakers with mixed impedances isn't generally a problem, emphasizing that they must be between 4-16 ohms. Audyssey can compensate for the different levels to ensure a proper mix. Be sure to run the Audyssey calibration for best results.
