No, maybe. But with mine it was because the factory or someone got a dab of grease on the drive spindle. It was fine till I switched it to 45 RPM, that's when the slippery stuff got onto the drive spindle, belt, and platter??? Had to remove the platter, and belt and wash them with dish soap and water. Rinsed and dried. Cleaned spindle with isopropyl alcohol and Q-tip. Reassembled and works fine. I want to know where the grease came from. Eh, Denon. You or ND.
